SEA CRAS
www.seacras.comOverview
SEA CRAS is a Croatian coastal intelligence company focused on making the blue economy more sustainable and transparent through AI analysis of high-resolution satellite data. The company develops and implements operational downstream Earth observation services for sea pollution detection, marine health assessment, coastal surveillance, and maritime decision support. Its offer includes app-based, 24/7 operational data-as-a-service delivery models on hybid digital twin-criss reponse center principle, continuous monitoring and surveillance, marine and maritime compliance data services, maritime spatial planning tools, and ESG-complinat data packages. SeaCras has evolved from an open-source data provider into a company that combines commercial satellite imagery, data fusion, analytics, and tailored service delivery for real-world users. The company is especially active in marine and coastal implementation, ranging from open waters, exclusive economic zones, to ports, marinas, and other micro-locations. Its applications include monitoring MARPOL pollutions, such as fuel spills and leakages, garbage and blackwater discharges. Operational detections account also natural and climate-change boosted events such as abnormal algal blooms and mucilage events, riverine and coastal systems, wastewater and sewage outfalls, marine litter indicators, vessel activity, and coastal infrastructure. Within the Croatian space ecosystem, SeaCras stands out as a practical blue economy EO actor, supported by DG DEFIS, DG Mare and World Economic Forum, with a clear route from satellite data to operational services for public authorities, protected areas, ports, tourism, and environmental management.
Core Competencies
Coastal intelligence, marine pollution detection, Earth observation analytics, satellite data fusion, marine health monitoring, bathing water prediction, digital twin systems, 24/7 operational services, maritime planning, environmental early warning, geospatial services
Space Experience
SeaCras applies Earth observation, using the full range of satellite imagery at all spatial resolutions, to operational downstream services in the blue economy and natural resources security. Its Coastal Intelligence platform supports continuous commercial data delivery, monitoring, and surveillance for marine pollution and ecosystem management. The company provides biochemical and environmental indicators aligned with marine descriptors, detects MARPOL pollutions - fuel, garbage blackwater discharges, monitors wastewater outfalls and infrastructure activity, and supports vessel detection and coastal infrastructure monitoring. It also offers digital twin capability for visualization, short-term forecasting, and long-term early warning. A particularly important implementation is the early warning and short-term prediction system for microbiological bathing site water quality developed in partnership with the Croatian Institute of Public Health and the Ministry of Health.
Collaboration Needs
SeaCras is seeking new market access, joint venture large space companies for joint market expansion, institutional partners with accurate in-situ datasets, and satellite data providers whose data can be commercially deployed within its coastal intelligence platform. The company is particularly interested in partnerships that strengthen marine and coastal monitoring, data fusion, environmental forecasting, and operational early warning services for public and commercial users.
